Machines in Motion

The National Museum of the United States Air Force is currently showcasing an exciting exhibit called Machines in Motion. The exhibit is centered around the flying machines created by the renowned inventor and artist, Leonardo da Vinci. Da Vinci’s passion for flight and innovation led him to draw and design numerous flying machines that were far ahead of their time. These included ornithopters, gliders, and even a helicopter-like device that used a spiral air screw to generate lift.

Visitors to the Machines in Motion exhibit will have the opportunity to see these incredible machines up close and learn about the genius behind them. The exhibit is a fascinating look into the mind of a true Renaissance man who left an indelible mark on history with his art and inventions.
